About Wallflower

Hi, I’m Janie, mama, maker of magic, and the heart behind The Wallflower Bookshop.

I launched my online romance bookstore in the summer of 2024, right here in Vancouver, Washington, but this dream had been blooming quietly in my heart for years. In early 2024, just before my son was born, it began nudging me louder and louder, asking to be brought to life.

Three months postpartum, in the middle of the hardest season I’ve ever known, I took a leap of faith and opened The Wallflower Bookshop. In so many ways, it became a lifeline. Postpartum depression had a tight grip on me, and building this shop gave me purpose, passion, and something beautiful to grow alongside my babies.

What started as a quiet dream has grown into a community I’m endlessly grateful for. Over the last year and a half, your support, encouragement, and love for this little shop have meant more than I could ever put into words. Thank you for being here, for cheering me on, and for helping this dream bloom.
